Christians: are you being disrespectful to doctors when you thank God for saving your loved ones?

Do you actually take time out to thank the people responsible for doing it? Or do you default to God automatically?

Update:

G C - atheists would say that isn't the case, and that if we sat around waiting for God to fix things, we would still be living in mud huts.

Update 2:

Christian Thinker - I sincerely hope you never meet with an accident that requires extensive surgery, that thinking will not extend your lifespan.

Update 3:

Siloam Tech - maybe then you should pray real hard to cure all illness, as quoted in the bible and encouraged by God/Jesus. If it doesn't happen, I will know you haven't tried. Evidence from bible below.

    They do that to everyone.

I have helped christians before, only to hear them "praise the lord", without as much as a thank you to me and others who worked hard to help them.

Ungrateful are christians, as well as badly deluded.

What family member do you know who would fail to say, "Thank you, doctor?"

The doctors I know would be grateful to have some Divine help, and would understand completely if a patient or their kin attributed healing to God.

So basically, as a hypothetical question, this thing pretty much falls apart.

    Both should be thanked!

So a God worked through a Doctor, that does not mean that only one deserves a "Thank you".

    I thank both :D

God gave me life, for whatever I have to be thankful for I should thank him because he gave me the ability to feel thanks.

And thankful to the doctor because he saved anonymous's hypothetical ***. :) Love you doctors.

And then thankful to the scientist that discovered how to save anonymous's hypothetical ***.

and then to the creators of the product that-

Well you get the picture :D

Source(s): Own opinion sorry if i offended anyone, i didn't mean to and I don't want you to be upset of angry so sorry sorry D: All said with good intent.

Yes they pretend the invisible man in the sky fixed them but ignore the doctor.

They are indeed. Instead of all those year's work in school, it's all thanks to god. I should become a surgeon right now. It's all right, god'll help me. No need for that silly school. School's where Atheists come from. Ewww...

I'm sure it's very frustrating to put so much time, energy and skill into saving someone just to have your efforts ignored while everyone thanks God instead.

A doctor works within the laws set down by the Creator for healing.

Only God says who lives or dies. Who gets saved or doesn't. Until you understand that, you will never know God.
