What is a good/ safe anti-malware to use with my 2013 Norton Anti-virus ?
I run full system scans everyday but it always sounds like something is running in the background, as well as recently slowed speeds, etc.
Years ago I used Adaware I think it was with my Norton's and had no problems. What is today's equivalent, or what do you suggest and why?

Well something running in the background always happens in windows.I run a scan every couple of weeks I don't know why you feel you need daily scans. Malwarebytes antimalware is free and a good back up scanner.Do not get the paid version,Norton will not like that.Norton may also tell you to remove Malwarebytes but you can ignore that.Since you will only be using it for a backup scanner. There would be problems if it was running in real time protection but the free version does not do that.

Eset Nod 32 is great rated the best anti virus in 2013. Try it! You can set it to daily scans and run on demand scans whenever you like i use it and it takes up like 1% of py computers speed!
