  • Men, if you left your wife of many years, did you just no longer love her, or did you hate her?

Either way, did you TELL her, or just leave? Also, how many years were you married before you divorced, and how long did you say after you no longer loved her or hated her?

Finally, did she DO anything to make you no longer love her or hate her?

  • How does vehicle buy back work with your insurance for a vehicle that is "totaled" with strictly cosmetic finish damage?

Can't find anything online about this particular situation, hoping someone can help. To keep things simple I'll estimate figures:

Vehicle (Avalanche) has sustained 8K of damage that is strictly to the surface finishes/paint/mouldings, etc. It is 100% drivable, but most of it needs refinished and non-refinish able exterior parts replaced, and those are costly for this model, hence the high repair estimates.

The vehicle's value is about 10K, so it will be considered "totaled" or a total loss for insurance purposes. It is a covered loss. I follow the part where they say they will pay you what the same make/ model/ year vehicle w/ similar options, mileage and condition prior to the loss sells for in your area, IF we can agree on figures, BUT, since vehicle was purchased new and meticulously maintained, has low mileage for the age, has been an amazing vehicle, I think we'd like to KEEP it even if it is unsightly cosmetically. THAT is where I get lost.....the BUY BACK, if we decide to do that.

Anyone been through this before, or have an insurance background, and have any idea/ guesstimates as to what to expect based on the above info? So, roughly, a 10K vehicle with 8K damage, what would it cost to buy it back? And how does that work? I know they will likely send a packet, and that their first offer is not always their end offer, but I'd like to have some idea of what to expect. Any info would be much appreciated!

  • What is a good/ safe anti-malware to use with my 2013 Norton Anti-virus ?

I run full system scans everyday but it always sounds like something is running in the background, as well as recently slowed speeds, etc.

Years ago I used Adaware I think it was with my Norton's and had no problems. What is today's equivalent, or what do you suggest and why?

  • Those with husbands in early 50's- have you noticed MALE menopause symptoms?

We are both strong personalities, but lately he has become an unbearable "know-it-all".

This past holiday we were on our bike (bought a Harley was first sign, but I embraced it) when I mentioned there were so few bikes out for it being a holiday weekend, he looks at me and says, "What holiday?" I laughed, thinking he was being sarcastic since he had to work Sat. He said, "you said it was a holiday, what holiday is it?" Granted, he is awful with remembering holidays unless major ones, but we had gone on a bike trip the 4th and watched fireworks. I replied, still trying to keep it light, and act as if I thought he was still teasing me, "The 4th silly". He replied, that was LAST weekend!" Since his favorite thing to do lately is not listen to me anymore, but he is all over what I am saying if it MIGHT be WRONG (part of my concern) and he can point it out, I thought maybe it was another example of him doing that, but it didn't seem to be.

Also went to see a doctor for pain he was having and I went along. Said he needed surgery, sent us to a surgeon. Surgeon had a different opinion and I mentioned that our family doctor had said something different and very specific. When we got out to the car, he jumped down my throat, basically calling me a liar, saying our doctor had NOT said what I just told the surgeon! Not only had our doctor said it, it was verbatim as I had written it down at the visit!

It's like he is not emotionally here when he is physically here, even when he is remembering just fine.

He is also complaining how long foreplay takes or how long I need, when before he was more into it than I was. I need more foreplay as I am feeling very distant from him emotionally.

ANYONE been through this??? What to do? Is this the new norm??? Help!

  • Windows 7-Is there a way to move "Documents" from my Administrator User to my other user?

    Have Windows 7 Home Premium.

I am the administrator and the only one that has ever used this PC.

I have "Documents" in my administrator user area when I log in/ sign in.

I have a second user set up for myself as well that I would like to keep and transfer documents to.

I want to move the "Documents" from the admin one to my other user ID.

Is there a way to do that? If so, be specific, as I am not computer savvy! Thanks

  • Has this ever happened to you went to pick out a card for your spouse for a special occasion?

LONG marriage and suddenly one day, none of the cards are right?

It seemed that every card said something that would no longer be true..."thank you for accepting me the way I am." I am so thankful for the way you listen, really listen to what I have to say." Thank you for being the one I can always count on." "Thank you for knowing just how to cheer me up after a bad day."

You get the idea. Looking back, the selection of the cards has been somewhat difficult for sometime, the last two occasions I have just not gotten one. For almost 20 years it was so easy..it was hard to pick just one.

I know it is about more than the cards, I just want to know if anyone can relate, and doesn't it break your heart if you can?

I love him...that is why it is so very sad.

  • If the end of your marriage had a "final straw", was it a big one or?

    a small one?

Had you been hoping things would get better and still had feelings, but then a relatively small thing happened and something inside you just shut off once and for all? That may not make a lot of sense unless you have been through it and then you'll know what I mean.

  • If your long marriage died a slow death, in hindsight what were the signs?

Not abuse or infidelity, but things like he/ she stopped listening, etc.

  • If your marriage of at LEAST 20 years crumbled/ ended- why?

I am not interested in answers of "abuse" simply because that is a given IMO, or really even in infidelity, but mostly interested in those that had it happen for other reasons. Was it a slow death or was it more like one day one of you just woke up and said- I give up!? Was it an event you couldn't get past or was it just you had grown apart, etc?

  • Is sealed BACON still good after the USE BY date on package?

It is in a sealed, never opened package and has been in our very, very cold frig. It's hardwood smoked sugar cured bacon if that makes a difference.
