why is being nude called your birthday suit?

I know when ur born you are nude any other reasons?

    BIRTHDAY -- the day you were born. You were born without any clothes on weren't you? Therefore being nude is being in your birthday suit.

    That's the reason. It was the suit you were wearing when you were born.
