My cat drools. Anyone else have a cat that does this?

I have this beautiful boy named Trouble whom I rescued along with his mom and sister about a year ago. Whenever I pet him or stroke or brush or pick him up he starts to purr very loudly then starts drooling. And it's not just a drop or two, I usually need to wipe it off his chin. don't mind that he does this but in all my years of having pets {and that's around 58 years} I've never had a cat who does this. Does anyone else out there have this happening with your cats? Here's his pic

It's not as uncommon as you think. When a cat is petted or brushed it makes them happy. In some cats they purr or roll over or head butt you. But, in some cats it triggers their saliva glands and hence they begin to drool.

We had a cat like that and just kept a napkin close to him when we petted him. The more you pet, the more he'll drool.

    It's a wet relationship. lol
