anyone else out there have a dog like mine?

No matter what the temperature is she always buries herself in a blanket. I totally understand it if it's cold out because we live in a very old house and no matter how hard we try to fix any cracks or loose caulking there are always one or two rooms that are chillier than the rest, but she still does it even in the summer when it's just plain hot. None of my other dogs are so fanatical about it.

  • Is anyone else having this problem?

No matter what category I go to every and I mean every question says "be the first to answer this question" even tho it's already got answers on it. Not that it really matters bexause I can still answer it's just irritating.

  • why don't more people go and rate the answers?

Is it they just want to answer questions and are afraid to find out how their answers are being rated? Also, didn't realize you can vote for your own question. Doesn't that make you a narcissist?

  • Doeas peppermint really work for nauseous?

I get frequent migraines, the kind that I generally need a pain killer shot for but today I can't afford to get the shot which usually includes anti nausea medication. I have vicodin to help with the pain but nothing for the nausea. Have heard that peppermint works. Anyone know if this is true?

Not sure if cat could have a disease that makes her gain weght?

So last year I rescued Mama and her kitten because it was getting very cold and had some snow already. She was extremely skinny and had worms and fleas. Took both her and kitten {Little Girl} to the vet and had them give them a physical and vaccines. They also gave Little Girl a dose of revolution along with Mama. Kept them separated from my other animals for about a month with gates separating them {six other pets}. When I started letting them out I just fed them as I feed my other three cats {which is grazing as they want to} I started noticing that Mama was putting on weight very quickly so I now feed on a schedule and watch what they eat. None of my other cats including Little Girl has put on any extra weight but Mama keeps gaining. I asked vet for some advice on weight control food and I also try to get her to play but she really doesn't want to play with anything! I have lots of toys including laser, catnip, fishing toys, one of those rounds things with ball in it, and I try to get her to chase a toy on end of string while I pull it. I'm beginning to think that there is some kind of health problem, but have no idea what it could be. Blood tests haven't shown any irregularities so wondering if anyone might have an idea.

Need ideas to keep Jack russell busy during the long winter.?

Have a Jack who does not like the cold. Goes out only to potty then comes right back in even with her coat on. I play tug with her and my other dog but can't last forever and she never wants to stop. I throw her ball down the hall over and over but once again can't keep it up. She only plays with my other dog for a little while because the other one quits really quickly. She gets her walk twice a day but can't stay out very long because we've already had a lot of temps only in the teens and have had snow already also. Any ideas of ways to keep her occupied? She's already looking and acting like she's just not happy. Any ideas would be welcome.

how to keep jack russell busy in house?

Winter is here and we've already had a number of days when the temp stays in the teens and my jack does not like the cold. I put her coat on when she has to go potty but she wants right back in so I'm looking for ways to keep her occupied so she doesn't get too bored. Both her {Missy} and my other dog Mia will play tug of war but it only lasts for a few minutes for Mia then she doesn't want to play anymore. I'll play tug and throw her ball down the hall but she never seems to tire out and when I'm done playing she looks depressed. Any ideas on something that could keep her busy? She still gets a walk but because of the extreme cold we don't stay out long. We've had some snow already also and she really doesn't like it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

My cat drools. Anyone else have a cat that does this?

I have this beautiful boy named Trouble whom I rescued along with his mom and sister about a year ago. Whenever I pet him or stroke or brush or pick him up he starts to purr very loudly then starts drooling. And it's not just a drop or two, I usually need to wipe it off his chin. don't mind that he does this but in all my years of having pets {and that's around 58 years} I've never had a cat who does this. Does anyone else out there have this happening with your cats? Here's his pic

  • Can someone please tell me what actually happens to a dog or cat when they are euthanized?

I have had many pets in my lifetime and many of them were euthanized due to illness or because their quality of life was no longer what they should of been. I recently had to have my little Sugarplum euthanized because of cancer and afterwards I couldn't stop feeling guilty and feeling like she died a horrible death. Partly because of when they started to inject her she tried to pull her leg away like it hurt and her pink little tongue was hanging out of her mouth afterwards and I never noticed this with my other pets. Also because I've since learned of a drug they use in surgeries that paralyze you but because of this drug they have to be put on a ventilator or else they suffocate because the muscles stop working. Please tell me this is not what happens to a beloved pet. I'm devastated just thinking that I might of done that to all the pets I've had.
