What bands do you think most personify these ideals?

1. Resisting becoming part of a hive mind

2. Anti government run military

3. Embracing your own characteristics regardless of how society may react

4. Looking out for yourself because no one else will

5. Breaking broad stereotypes of all kinds

6. Fighting the modern day record industry and it's "cash-cow" profiteering

7. Defying the expectation that young people have to be unintelligent and combating those who are

Obviously a lot of these will be punk bands, but pick from whatever genre comes naturally.

Hmm I'll try my best for these, not sure how accurate they will all be though.

    1. Could be a lot of punk bands for this, perhaps Subhumans idk just thought if their song line "In the face of you all I stand defiant" I think many punk bands encourage this type of thinking. I'll also say the Clash a they had many political punk songs that represented this idea, plus they're just an awesome band.

    2. Umm Dead Kennedys maybe

    3. For this one really not sure so I'm just gonna throw one out there being New York Dolls, because they uh embraced dressing in high heels and tight purple pants while plying glam punk despite how society reacted.

    5. The band 99'ers I believe it's called, it's a punk band of old/older guys one being a lawyer, one a university professor one a doctor, one is a single dad, that defies at least a few punk band stereotypes ha another one I will say is the Ramones. Thy may seem stereotypical now with their leather jackets and converse but they really changed who could be famous, they weren't attractive in fact Joey Ramone is often regarded as quite ugly, they were highschool dropouts who couldn't hold down jobs, they weren't virtuosos, they, Joey especially being schizophrenic and OCD along with a distinctive look, were seen as freaks, and yet they became one if th most famous rock bands ever. I think at the time they were quite unstereotypical rock stars.

    6. Not Sex Pistols lol

    7. Bad Religion, Greg Graffin was very smart as a teenager with a fascination about evolution, he is also a university professor that teaches evolution at th same time he educates youth about the destructiveness of religion with his song lyrics.

Source(s): Could've done a lot better on this probably but my mind just went blank and I forgot every band ever for some reason ha. I listen to a lot of punk, hardcore and anarcho, tried to make these at least a bit true
