misfits, 7 seconds, minor threat, black flag, sonic youth, adolescents, social distortion, suicidal tendencies, excel, D.R.I., J.F.A., The Faction, adrenalin O.D., the germs, X, sex pistols, crass, bad brains, subhumans, dead kennedys, descendents, government issue, boneless ones, jackshit, big boys, minutemen, etc.
Joy Division and violent femmes and blondie were not really punk (although "call me" by blondie is pretty punk).
