Can feeder mice be feed dog food?

Ive heard the red dye is bad for the mice and snakes in dog food. But what if I feed them dog food that isnt dyed? Trying to find the cheapest thing to feed them.

    I do hope you humanely kill your mice before feeding them to your reptiles.

    if not, have fun when one decides to fight back and rips an eye out.

    Feed them mouse food. Or buy them pre-killed frozen.
