Why is my ear piecing bleeding?

I had my ear lobes pierced about seven year ago (with a gun, please spare me the scolding. I know it wasn't the best option). I've always had a small amount of discharge from the holes but recently one of the piercings seems to have reversed the healing process. It becomes easily irritated and has started bleeding in the past few weeks.

I usually wear my white-gold piercing studs 24/7 but I have been wearing sterling earwires recently. I keep my piercings clean with isopropyl alcohol and wipe down any earrings with isopropyl before I wear them.
