I used to know a fellow named Chris when he was rather overweight. His school buddies called him "Crisco" ("fat in the can"). (He has been slim for decades now.)

Another acquaintance of mine was on the wrestling team in high school. His unique style gained him the nickname of "Spider", which he disliked. His way of coping with it was to ignore it completely. "Nothing to do with me if somebody calls me 'Churchill' or 'Spider' or 'Mickey Mouse'," was his attitude.

Whatever, I don't think retaliation is the best way to handle this. I'd say, "If you don't want my company, just say so and I'll go away. No need to be sarcastic or insulting about it." Then actually do fade from the scene when he starts with "Maaggsterr" the next time.
