any one know of a good brand of can opener?

The ones my wife and mother-in-law buy at the grocery stores wear out and fail after about 6 weeks to 2 months in our house. I would like recommendations for hand powered can openers that are more durable and longer lived than what we have been getting. Please list the brand name and a good source of purchasing it from.

The best can opener possible is a manually operated one that you attach to the outside of a cupboard or wall, called Swing-A-Way. We've had ours in our current home for 22 years, and it works every time with no muss or fuss. Costs about $8.

I have used a Tupperware can opener for years as I had the same issue with other openers. My opener has paid for itself many times over compared to other brands.

I recommend the Culinare MagiCan. I think I got mine from a supermarket.

Hamilton Beach, I know that this is a little bit expensive, but I know that this would work pretty well and last for a very long period of time. hope this helps, and good-luck picking your Can-openers LOL.
