Best lineup for Week 14?

8-team standard league - we started our fantasy playoffs in Week 13 and I'm up by about 29 points heading into this week.

My roster with match-ups:

QB Josh McCown vs. Dal

RB Eddie Lacy vs. Atl

RB Le'Veon Bell vs. Mia

WR Vincent Jackson vs. Buf

WR Antonio Brown vs. Mia

TE Rob Gronkowski vs. Cle

Flex Michael Floyd vs. StL

D/ST Chiefs @ Wsh

K Mason Crosby vs. Atl

BN Shane Vereen vs. Cle

BN Roddy White @ GB

BN Aaron Rodgers* vs. Atl

BN Rashad Jennings @ NYJ

BN Vernon Davis vs. Sea

BN Rams D/ST @ Ari

BN Chris Johnson @ Den

I have my lineup set up this way because:

A) I'm not too confident in Chris Johnson performing well against Denver. Peyton Manning and the Broncos may be facing a top-10 pass defense in the Titans, but I fear they'll run the score up to the point of forcing Ryan Fitzpatrick to throw the ball more. I'd have to bet on short passes and a TD or two to CJ2K to get a good performance out of him.

B) Obviously Rashad Jennings has bad match-up, so even if he were healthier off his concussion, he'd be on the bench.

C) Michael Floyd has posted at least 5 receptions and 99 yards in every game since Carson Palmer's little resurgence. I'm a little worried about Palmer possibly not playing, but I'm confident that Floyd will still be an effective weapon, with or without Palmer.

D) Vernon Davis is facing Seattle. I know Kaepernick's been getting a bit better lately but I'm not too sure of his ability to get the ball downfield against Seattle. I think Davis is going to stay benched this week.

If anyone would like to offer their opinion or any suggestions, I'd be very appreciative of that. Thank you for your time and I'd be happy to answer your questions, as well.

Update:

ROI?, Roethlisberger is not available. Jennings has been great but you can't be loyal to a player based on past performance. A bad match-up is a bad match-up, and the Jets are friggin' good against the run, allowed 2.8 ypc. I like Floyd's numbers of late, and I think that can continue against the Rams. That's just my opinion on it.

Thanks for your answer on my question. Regarding your team, your qb is good, receivers are good, in fact everything is good except for your defense. The chiefs may have been undefeated for so long, but they're defense lacks the ability to stop half decent offenses. And as bad as the redskins are, rg3 is making a statement as of the last 2 weeks, as are the entire Washington offense.

I also agree with your statement about Chris Johnson. The titans will for sure pass more than run against the Broncos pitiful pass defense. Michael Floyd is also a great start

Thanks for your thorough answer and help Patrick!

    A few comments:

    1. Big Ben has been second in the league in points since week 9 (saw this on ESPN this morning) and he's available in most leagues. If he's available you might want to consider him. (I have Peyton Manning luckily lol)

    2. I agree with your Chris Johnson logic but I actually like Jennings more although Lacy and Bell are the better picks to start.

    3. My only problem with your team is really your QB and your faith in Michael Floyd. Yes I think Floyd's good as I have Larry Fitzgerald but VD has been talking about this game all week and after seeing him get blown up & shut down against Seattle before I feel he's going to make them pay this time even tho Kap is inconsistent. That's just my feeling because I'm a 49ers fan and I've never trusted the Cardinals except for when Boldin was there or Fitzgerald.

That's a solid line up I'd leave it as is, the only thing that I would look at again is maybe starting Chris Johnson Denver's rush D is ranked 7 which is solid, but they've given up a good amount of TD's to running backs, if I were you I'd start him

i like youre lineup although i would consider starting shane vereen or c johnson over bell, just because the dolphins have a pretty good defense and i can see that can being pretty low scoring, at best bell will have one td. but everything else is looking good i like vereens matchup against cleveland he is the most targeted player in new englands offense behind gronk. and ridley is banged up. hope the best for your team!

I like your lineup. The only thing I would consider is playing Shane Vereen against the Browns. Throw him in your flex spot. He's really the only back for the Patriots that you can trust these days, and Cleveland's defense really isn't great. Good luck and thanks for your answer!

I would not change CJ2K for Bell, just because he is not the explosive back we used to see. Also i agree with the statement that the Titans will definitely pass more. Nice lineup and good luck.

Hey u just answered my question so I'm answering yours.. Looks good to me but I have 2 things I would do differently, Put in Chris Johnson and take out Le'veon Bell.. And possibly put in Vereen for Floyd in flex

I'd do cj over Lev bell. They're gonna be doing a lot of check downs to him playing catch up to broncos
