Would anti-racist bombings be celebrated here in America?
Would you support a group of freedom fighters in the United States, for the social injustice of minorities? Lets supposed, hypothetically, that in order to fight for their rights, they blew up grand central station, or a mall of america, in order to kick whites out of america, and take over the country. Would this be a commendable act?
All viewpoints welcome.
Kathy, the revolutionary war was fought in our country among people who volunteered to be soldiers. We did not go into England and bomb their mercantile shops. Reality and Sentiment are two separate things. Other differences, are that the war was fought between the same ethnic groups, for the most part, and had nothing to due with social injustice through race relations.
In general, Mandela is not mentioned in the question. This question is purely hypothetical. Please stay on topic, thanks! Try to answer without using Mandela or that situation. I thank you in advance for your comments.

I'm assuming you are trying to tie this to Mandela's death.
Different era... different culture... different government... MUCH different degree of atrocities heaped on the minorities.
Now if you REALLY want to make a comparison, you might want to go back to the Revolutionary War and the violence it took for the Americans to kick the Brits out of the country. That would be a more accurate comparison.

I'm English, but somehow I can't see any country of the west, supporting bombing of innocent people. That's what sadistic countries in the middle east, like to do.

Absolutely not.
But if someone, after 27 years in prison, changed their entire approach to one of peace and mutual respect, stopped the violence, and restored freedom and human rights to that oppressed population, that aught to be celebrated.
