  • How are my GRE scores for a cold test, can you give opinion?

    156 Verbal (70%), 140 quantitative (8%), and 3.5 analytical (35%)

I want to go to University of Alabama in Birmingham for my MS in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

My GPA is 3.15, although they are all A's in my professional classes for my BS in Laboratory Technology. My Sciences Classes are all A and B's. F's in 1st couple of semesters in history and political Science.

Currently Working at the University as a TA for the Clinical Science Laboratory in the Chemistry Department. I also have credit hours as a Undergraduate Teaching Assistant. Older Student (37) who reentered college a few years back.

Also have an Associate of Applied Science in Biotechnology (3.5 GPA).

Have strong recommendations from 3 teachers, including the chair of the department for Laboratory Technology (whom I work for now), Parasitology, and Biochemistry Professors. In addition a recommendation from my General Manager from Kohl's, where I worked for 4 years as an Area Supervisor.

  • What chances do I have with a 14 year old adjudication in the medical feild?

In 1998, I was stupid, and introduced someone to an acquaintance to buy some pot. It ended up with an adjudication for a misdemeanor for conspiracy to sell marijuana. I think I may have wasted my money getting a degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. I did everything I was supposed to, and haven't been in trouble since, but now I am stressing out big time about this.

What do you think my chances are of getting hired and certification?

  • What is your honest opinion about my prospects after college?

I just got my grades back for the semester. I have just graduated from Auburn University, with a 3.1 GPA in Chemistry (BS) for Medical Laboratory Sciences. I am 37 years old. I took a long time off of college and went back 2 years ago. I had made 3 F's on my transcript. One of those I retook, cause I needed it for my major (it was History).

When I came back though, I made all A's though, even in my higher 4 and 5000 level classes. I now have to apply for my Clinical to get certification. What are my prospects here. Do you think I stand a chance? I am positive I have good references. I am even working for my department chair next semester (as a paid employee), as a TA in Clinical Biochemistry, Parisitology, and Immunohematology (blood banking). I have to sit out a semester, due to the rotations at the hospitals.

  • Can I get a degree in impact studies?

I am interested in going to school to get a degree in football. I excel at smashing into things at high velocity, and knowing when to doge an incoming train. I have heard that they admire such skills as being very scholarly at college. What is the best school to get a degree in football?

  • What would you do if a teacher gave a student a grade they didn't get?

I just found out that one of the girls in my class received a C, when she should have gotten a D. She failed the final with a 40%. That would have given her a low D. I made a 72 on the final, but did not receive a C, I got a D--the grade I should have gotten. I just don't understand why SHE received a C, but I didn't, even though I had a higher average than her.

  • Would anti-racist bombings be celebrated here in America?

Would you support a group of freedom fighters in the United States, for the social injustice of minorities? Lets supposed, hypothetically, that in order to fight for their rights, they blew up grand central station, or a mall of america, in order to kick whites out of america, and take over the country. Would this be a commendable act?

    All viewpoints welcome.

  • Would you help me with some gay relationship advise?

Okay, my partner and I have been together in a monogamous relationship for 11 years. Recently, in the last couple of years, he has been having to take business trips. Its always to the same town 10 hours away.

He is NOT out at work however, and its always a bunch of guys who go on these trips. These are the same guys that he "carpools" with everyday. Mostly its just one guy, who happens to live here in town as well.

I have never met this guy, because he doesn't know my partner is gay (he acts straight). This last trip I got very upset, because he would finish the work he was doing during the day, then go out with this one dude from 6 pm to 10 or 10:30 having dinner. At first, he said it was business dinner's every night, but when I pushed him he admitted to going out and hanging out, and not just eating.

This upsets me badly. The way I look at it, is that If I don't KNOW these people, you can't hang out with them----especially another guy. My gut tells me he cheating with a married man, but I can't know for sure. He says he isn't though.

I just find it strange that he hangs out with these people, who he says would not be his friends anymore if he came out. The guy NEVER asks to come inside EVER. I also find that strange. I told him, "what do you tell these people, where they don't ever want to come over?" He didn't answer.

What do you guys think, am I being unreasonable? Would you allow the same situation to occur? Would a straight couple tolerate the other hanging out with the opposite sex and NEVER being able to meet them?

  • What Are you options if you co-signed on a car the person can't pay for?

My sister lost her job 3 months ago. I had to pay for her car note this month because she couldn't afford it. Today she posts on facebook that she is going to Florida to party. Its obvious to be that finding a job and paying her bills is not top priority. Now I have to face her consequences and deal with this. What is the best way to go about this. I don't want the car, but need to pay it off somehow?

  • Bacterial identification help?

Got a gram negative rod, relatively long--not short by any means. Oxidase negative, Catalase positive. Selected on MAC plate--pink colonies. Produced a green sheen at first on EMB but after about 24 hours of growth, it went back to a pink colony. I suspected E. Coli at first, but now K. pneumonia. Now I have no idea.

  • Whats up with college lately? Am I ADD or what?

K, so i'm a straight A student, so i can't be ADD right? This semester I am only taking 3 courses that add up to 13 hours, but this one teacher give SO much extra work to do at home, it is taking up all my time, literally. She makes us do lab reports twice a week, we have to watch like 45 minutes of videos before labs (twice a week) and then take quiz, then at the end of the week take another quiz.

Not to mention, my chemistry class has 100's of homework questions on line every week. I have literally done school work all day long from waking to going to bed and STILL I can't find time to actually sit down with my books and really study. This is the first semester its been like this, its insane. What is wrong with me that I can't keep up.

It just seems like since they have started doing all this online crap, teachers are starting to assign homework like mad? Is anyone else having this problem. I think I am gonna go see a shrink at school, I am starting to really get stressed out. don't even have time to work out, and now i'm getting fat.

  • Why do people pay for a gym to "walk"?

I mean seriously, wouldn't cleaning the house give a better fat burn? Most of them aren't even sweating either they take a stroll for 60 dollars a month?

  • Are you being charged more for medical than before the health care law?

Before they put this bill in, my insurance was a lot cheaper, but there is more. Used to be, when i went to the hospital or clinic/doctor for a visit, you only paid the co-pay and deductible. NOW, you not only pay that, but you also pay a separate doctors fee. In other words, you now get two or three separate charges, like a surgery, whereas before you would only get the hospital/clinic bill under one charge.

Is anyone else noticing this, and how is this less affordable than before?

  • Do you think this qualifies me as a chronic pain patient?

I have a bulging disk at c3-c4, bursitis, distal supraspinatus tendonopathy with Bursitis, and ulnar nerve lessons that cause cramping evident by two surgeries and abnormal EMG's.

But yet i have the hardest time find anyone who will treat me for my pain. I really don't know what do to. I tried to see the pain clinic in town and they just ignore me. Should i try others out of town or am i just crazy?

  • Does getting tipsy everyday help with your chronic pain?

I have a slipped disk in my neck and some shoulder issues. Since the doctor won't give me any pills, i find getting almost drunk every night on wine helps a lot, does anyone else feel the same?
