What is your honest opinion about my prospects after college?
I just got my grades back for the semester. I have just graduated from Auburn University, with a 3.1 GPA in Chemistry (BS) for Medical Laboratory Sciences. I am 37 years old. I took a long time off of college and went back 2 years ago. I had made 3 F's on my transcript. One of those I retook, cause I needed it for my major (it was History).
When I came back though, I made all A's though, even in my higher 4 and 5000 level classes. I now have to apply for my Clinical to get certification. What are my prospects here. Do you think I stand a chance? I am positive I have good references. I am even working for my department chair next semester (as a paid employee), as a TA in Clinical Biochemistry, Parisitology, and Immunohematology (blood banking). I have to sit out a semester, due to the rotations at the hospitals.
Forgot to mention, you get a second degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences after certification.

If you don't get a PhD, then your prospects are most likely becoming a bench monkey in some lab.
