The news stories say that Paul Walker was sleeping with a 16 year old. So he was a pedophile?

Why do you think sleeping with a 16 year old is a serious crime. A 16 year old is almost an adult and looks just like an adult. Would you say sleeping with an 18 year old is a serious crime? Probably not. As long as the 16 year old gave consent, I don't see what the problem is, but it would have still been illegal.

And why, a man that good looking, why does he need to date a teenager? Surely there are sexy, attractive women his own age. A girl that I have known since she was a baby, got pregnant at 16 by 28 year old man. She is now having major mental issues and dates the most worthless men. Paul Walker was a pedophile.

Frankly, I find it ridiculous that people will throw around the phrase child molester just because the other person involved is under 18. While I don't think it's particularly moral, I don't think it makes them a predator unless they were, like, under 14 and looked it. Look at Kylie Jenner. She's 16 but she's not exactly innocent and she literally looks 30. Many teens are like that nowadays. They could say that they were 20+ and it would be believable. If it's accepted that a 16 year old can have sex with another 16 year old, why is it SUCH a huge deal if they have sex with someone older? Do you REALLY think someone having sex with a 16 year old makes them a pedophile when the definition of a pedophile is someone attracted to prepubescent kids- as in, like, 8 year olds? A 16 year old really isn't a child either. Statutory rape would be the fitting technical term.

Did he actually rape a 16 year old or just have sex with them? Please don't throw the word rape around- it will get people worked up- unless that's what actually happened.

Verdammit- You are correct. An adult having sex with a minor is illegal in CA and the age of consent in CA is 18 and carries a penalty of 1-4 years in jail. Other responders: I'm not sure why you think it is 16. This is very easy information to research. In fact, it is only 16 in a few states in the US. In many states, there are "close-in age exemptions" that allow for a teenager to have sex with someone near their own age, so for example, a 16 year old girl (or boy) with a 17 year old boy (or girl) is OK, a 16 year old with a 20 year old (or a 33! year old is not) These vary by state, but Paul Walker was nowhere near the age range allowed in CA or probably any other state in the case of the recent and former girlfriend, both of whom he met when they were 16. His behavior was way far from what we consider acceptable in our country. For those who think otherwise, I encourage you to run for office and try to change the laws. I think in very little time you will see that running on a platform of legalizing sex between young teens and adults will not be very popular.

The Age of Consent Laws are in place to protect our minors/under aged teens from sick-minded, predators like Paul Walker, the AGING celebrity whose status allowed him to be an undercover Statutory Rapist with not ONE, but TWO 16 year old girls( while he was old enough to be their father).

I don't know what the age of consent is in California, but it's probably around age sixteen. He's not technically a pedophile, as a pedophile is someone who is sexually attracted to prepubescent girls/ boys.

All that being said, I also find it highly disturbing that he was in a relationship with a sixteen year old when he was in his thirties. He also dated a 16 year old when he was 28. Dead or alive, sounds like a major creeper! But he is dead now, so no one will call him out for his bad behavior.

That isn't being a pedophile. Maybe where you live, but in Cali, 16 is of age. He is human, we do stir things, but its wasn't rape or being a pedophile. It was legal.
