"at every corner of the earth" vs "on every corner of the earth"?

I'm having a little trouble with the wording in an essay. My sentence:

"As such, he’s celebrated at every corner of the Earth."

I keep wanting to change it to:

"As such, he’s celebrated on every corner of the Earth."

Neither of them sound quite right and everything I've found with Google seems to indicate both are fine. Which is correct? If both are correct, which sounds better? Or should I change the whole thing?

I wouldn't care that much except that it's one of the first sentences in my paper, so it needs to give a good impression.
