why are people so enthralled by death?

Because they think it is the final curtain call.

I think it's because it's inevitable, unavoidable and nobody knows what happens after. Death is one of those things, in fiction writing, that we can make as anything we want. I always have people hanging around after death. I once wrote a story called "Beulah Bean" about an old woman who didn't know she had died and lived alone in her parent's home and as I wrote, I began to wonder if ghosts, who don't know they are dead, think living people who go walking around empty houses trying to find spirits are the ghosts. Did that make any sense?

Death is the end...some people make up stories like heaven to feel better but the truth hurts!
