Why do people hate the word Moist ?

Many people I've met hate it when I say moist.

For example, in How I Met Your Mother, Lilly hates it when people say moist, which gives Barney an opportunity to piss her off.

    I don't know of anyone that hates it...maybe its how u use it

    It has very strong sexual undertones so women find it offensive
