no visible bruise but bruise-like pain?
I recently slipped on ice and fell on my hip and forearm. My arm is fine, but over a day later I don't have any discoloration from bruising on my hip, but I feel pain in what feels like a mid muscle layer in my hip when I put pressure on it or when I move the muscle certain ways. It has gotten a bit better since this morning, but is still a fairly strong sharp pain at times (not too bad to keep that position, but very unpleasant) The worst is when I try to sit cross-legged or lay on that side with my leg slightly bent. When I try to sit cross legged it feels like there is swelling, but it feels like it is deeper than in the skin layer and I can't find any visible swelling. I am a 19 year old female, with fairly average weight for my height. I do not bruise easily at all, except for when a random bruise I have no explanation for sometimes shows up. I was wondering if I just bruised something deeper and missed the blood vessels right under the skin, or if this might be another issue.

You have nt mentioned how many days it has bn since you fell.
I am assuming that currently you are in a cold place given that you were on ice.
If the temperature around you is cold, try to stay indoors for the time .
Normally injuries require ice packs on the injured spot(to shrink blood vessels and stop any bleeding).
But given that you are in a cold climate and your whole body is feeling cold , extra care should be taken to not apply to much cold . Thus I advice you to stay indoors with proper heating and apply ice to only the injured place.
Too much cold can freeze the blood circulation.
