Where would I submit a complaint for someone hunting on state property?

It's in South Carolina and I know I live next to state property. But on the weekends (and maybe more often because I'm not always around to hear all the gunshots and the hunting dogs) I hear the telltale sounds of hunting. I've looked up some law, and I'm still not 100% sure this is legal. I was wondering who's attention I can bring this situation to and have it resolved.

And if I have anything above wrong, please tell me.

If it's not hunting season, or if that area is closed, the local wildlife officers would investigate ANY complaint of that nature. You can either look up the regional office or phone 911 to report suspicious activity to the police, who will dispatch it properly.

Operation Game Thief South Carolina can be reached at 1-800-922-5431. Reports can be made anonymously.

Check the State regulations. Much of your States public land is open to hunting. The seasons, method and bag limits are all available at

    www.dnr.sc.gov/hunting.htm

Why would you think that it would be illegal?
