Can a child born from blue eyed parents not have blue eyes?

My understanding of genetics lets me believe that blue is dominated by brown and green

    Yes, if other colors other than blue run in the family. The genetics of eye color are complicated, and eye color is determined by multiple genes. To date, as many as 15 genes have been associated with eye color inheritance. The once-held view that blue eye color is a simple recessive trait has been shown to be incorrect. The genetics of eye color are so complex, that almost any parent-child combination of eye colors may occur.
