I dug up a small pine tree and need help on it's care.?
Does anyone know how to care for a small pine tree. I found one on our road while walking and dug it up and put it in potting soil mixed with the dirt where it came from. I've looked up several websites but they all say different things.
I just need some basic "how-to"s" Thanks.

It won't grow indoors so you need to plant it outside either now or in the spring when it has established a good root system in the pot that you've put it in. When it's planted, give it plenty of mulch and make sure it is well watered in it's first year.

you'll want to keep it outside.
dig a hole that's slightly larger than the roots. fill the bottom with a good quality compost. put the Pine in and fill around it with some more compost. "heel" it in (use your heel and press the dirt around it to get rid of any air.) put some mulch on the top of the soil around it as this makes it look nicer and gives the soil nutrients. as its young it can be susceptible to sunburn (like anything thats young) you can make a sunshade out of wood and put it up to keep it safe.
when the soil feels dry, give it a water.
the sun shade is usually good at deterring animals but if they do get to it, you may need to put up fencing around it.
prune it occasionally when it starts getting bigger to keep it tidy (if you want, shred the pruned branches etc and shred them and put them back on the soil around it (recycling!))

Plant it in a sunny,. well-drained spot (not a place that gets standing water after heavy rains).
Pines do not make good houseplants, so your best bet is to plant it outside.
