There are probably no gods, but there are claimed to be hundreds (edit: yes, thousands).

Someone will have a list ready. I personally don't.

There are thousands. Off the cuff, I can name dozens and dozens.

    How many are real? 0

Are you looking for a claim of how many gods we can name or are you looking for us to post a list? You might want to be a little clearer.

If one starts from the first manmade concept we would need to start with animal and elemental gods for man attributed god status to all that they did not understand. These gods have given way to many other gods which intern have given way to the beliefs, faiths we see in the world today. We actually have created and worshipped hundreds upon hundreds of gods through our history.

In recorded history there have been over 3,000 claims of god that can be specifically cited with a proper name.

Far more if we consider all of the "gods" from Hinduism. However, we typically don't do that because they're all said to manifestations of the Hindu god Brahman ... so they're technically all the same god despite thousands of manifestations.

    Only one

Isa 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

    Define "are". "To be" (infinitive).

    I'll get us started...

Basically means, "an act of existence".

    What is "existence"?

    How do things exist?

What is the line between existing things and non-existent things?

Is that line mutable based on how things are perceived?

Is that line mutable based on how things are defined?

n.b. - Are you asking for a list of all things conceptualized as gods, or are you asking for "proof that any gods objectively exist in the shared reality of this universe"?

    According to Ricky Gervais 2870.

    Depends on who you ask.

There are thousands when you count the gods of the Norse, Roman, Greek, Hindu, Japanese, Egyptian, Mesopotamian, and other cultures.

    God:

    the Father - Creator - I AM

The Son - Redeemer - Jesus of Nazareth The Christ

The Holy Spirit - Perfect Compassion, and Wisdom - Holy Spirit

    1 God 3 persons.

Only one. The one that begins the universe and life in it. The one who will get it destroyed in time.
