Earning a scholarship for college is important to me. To reach my goals I must overcome obstacles. These obstacles include a lack of understanding of the function of a spell checker, which, among other things, will greatly handicap me in my struggle to achieve grades consistent with qualification for the award of a scholarship.

Like quite a few students you fail to understand the education process.

Why are you in school? To keep you out of trouble for the day? To keep your parents free to go to work?

No, the reason you are in school is to learn.

How do you learn? go to class and listen? Not enough

Go to class and listen and take notes? Again Not enough.

The goal of education is to get you to learn to teach yourself what you want to know. All the knowledge is out there already, It's in the library book, it's on the internet, it's on your phone, all that's required is for you to study it and learn.

Universities, Colleges, High Schools are organized to direct your learning. To put the things in order, but the requirement of all these organizations is that you learn, and as soon as you learn to teach yourself the better off you will be in school.
