I want to start gaming...?

I've always liked playing video games, but my parents never really bought me any. Now that we have the money to get games and stuff, I want to start gaming. I don't necessarily want to become a "gamer," but I want to game. I just don't know where to start. What are some good games to start with? I am gaming on a PS3 and PC, and I am probably getting a PS4. I have a 3DS and I play games like Resident Evil: Revalations. I also have some friends that are trying to get me to play this game called Portal. But I don't know. How should I start? Thanks.

Well there are many games. I'll name one in each genre if I can think of them. Role playing- skyrim stradigie- bloons td. Shooter- Battlefield. Simulation- minecraft, flight simulator. Action - uncharted portal is an amazing game too. I have it!

Check out some of the games on YouTube, and see which one you like. It doesn't really matter where you start, just start at any game. I started to game about 2-3 years ago, I first played MW2, and now I'm involved with all of these new-gen games. I consider myself a gamer LOL. Just slowly get the feel of using the console. If you play a lot, you'll get better at gaming. Good luck :D
