Hi, I'm writing a story in present tense, but I get confused easily with it because some of the sentences don't sound right. Here are the sentences:

His voice seemed to be trembling.

I could tell that he was nervous.

I couldn't tell whether he was being serious or not.

I don't know if they can be both present and past tense or not. Thank you. :)

I've always liked playing video games, but my parents never really bought me any. Now that we have the money to get games and stuff, I want to start gaming. I don't necessarily want to become a "gamer," but I want to game. I just don't know where to start. What are some good games to start with? I am gaming on a PS3 and PC, and I am probably getting a PS4. I have a 3DS and I play games like Resident Evil: Revalations. I also have some friends that are trying to get me to play this game called Portal. But I don't know. How should I start? Thanks.

I used to use Flipnote Studio on the DSi, and I really got into animating. Are there any good animating programs that are easy to use and are high quality? I'm pretty broke, so I can't really afford anything too expensive. I would prefer something free, but I don't want something of low quality. The volume icon at the bottom of the screen is not even there. And when I go to the control panel and click on Sounds and Audio Devices, it won't let me click on anything. Is there a program that lets the computer play sound? Please help...

I have only known this guy since the beginning of the school year, but we are pretty close. He is one of two of my best guy friends. I occasionally find him staring at me in class, and when I catch him, he quickly averts his eyes. I myself don't really like hugs, and when I told him this, he told me he was going to "make me like them." Plus, I know this may sound weird, but when we text he always jokes around about cuddling...? And one time I got a text message from him while I was asleep saying that he loves the way I draw random things and that he "really does like me." He also calls me adorable sometimes, and he always asks to Skype me even when he only has like five minutes to talk to me. Everyone at school says that he and my other guy friend are always fighting over me, but I don't think so...(or maybe I'm just dense...). What do you think? I think he may like me, but he may just be messing around with me.

I am making a story and I have a character who was created by a scientist (not like Frankenstein's monster). This character was constructed of a substance made by his creator himself. I am wanting to read some good Hetalia fanfictions. I would prefer suspense, horror, and/or angst. I like creepy stuff. What can I do to improve my manga/anime drawing skills? Please only answer this question if you yourself have improved from the advice you are giving me. People who haven't or don't draw in the anime style have given me the advice to try the realistic drawing style before I get into anime. I tried that for a while but it did not really work... Have any of you anime artist out there tried that? If so, did it help improve your skills? Please only give me advice that helps. The things I need most practice on are bodies and hands. The shapes thing helps, but is there a better way? Thank you:)

Hello. I am thirteen years old and am reallly interested in learing Japanese. I heard it is very hard but I do not want to learn how to write it, just speak it(for now). The reason I want to learn it is because I am going to move to Japan and persue my dream to become a mangaka(manga artist). Any one have anything that would help me learn Japanese? I get some books at my local library, but they are a bit hard to understand and learn from. How could I do this? And if you have learned Japanese, can you tell me if it was hard or not? Please help.
