Chromebooks run on a modified version of Gentoo (Not Android), which is a Linux operating system which doesn't allow software to modify any important system files without first having access to an account usually called 'root' which can modify any files on the system. This makes it much harder for malware to infect the system, and consequently makes it a lot safer to use than Windows.
Linux is also not as widely used as Windows is so hackers would gain more from developing malware for Windows, so they don't really bother much with Linux.
Wide Glide is utterly incorrect, Windows and Unix-like operating systems such as Mac OS X, ChromeOS, or any Linux operating system are extremely different in design and implementation.
Also .exe files do not run under Linux unless you install software that allows Linux to run Windows software. It seems like Wide Glide is just trying to market Malwarebytes by lying to you.
I've included some links to backup my statements of how secure Linux is, and to provide more details in the sources.

Chormebook uses Chrome OS. Because viruses mainly effect the operating system, it will be far less likely to get a virus.
Windows gets loads of virues and in the time i've had android ive have none... Google is the way forward.

Since it runs Chrome OS which is based on Android which is based on Linux, there will be a lot less chances of your system being compromised by a virus.
On the other hand, a Chromebook can't do everything a Windows, Mac or even full Linux laptop can do. You might want to lookup Chrome OS to see if it is the right operating system for your purposes.

I have yet to hear of a ChromeOS virus ...
If everything you do can be done within a browser then a Chromebook is an excellent option/choice. If, however, you need to run standalone programs then it probably isn't for you. There are browser based programs for almost everything you might need or want to do. The biggest area where a chromebook would not work for you is if you wanted to play stand alone games like Battlefield, Skyrim, etc.

There is NO difference in any operating system @ Windows, Mac's, Linux or Chromebook
The ONLY Known Process that allows any computer to connect or talk to another computer is:
" iexplorer.exe "
That is the vulnerability that Malware Exploits
NOTE:There is a Exploit already that attacks Google DRive when connected to a users Desktop.
Can't be done is fantasy
