What's wrong with my truck?
I have a 1998 ford f 250. What would cause the pcm power relay fuse to blow? We change it and if we try to start it then the fuse blows. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a short somewhere if it blows the fuse that fast.

You clearly have a short. Change the PCM relay and see it would fix it. If not, its time to get a wiring diagram and start roubleshooting. Look at what circuits are connected or related with the PCM circuit and look for touching or frayed wires. Shorts are sometimes very hard to find. Use logic and just ba patient. Buy one of those fuses that reset and connect it to the test circuit that you are testing so you dont keep blowing the fuse at the fuse box.

Sure, I have a suggestion. Go find a mechanic. Works for my when I have car issues. Why ask here? Are you a mechanic? I would bet not. And the piece is PCM, capitalized for Power Control Module. USPS. FBI, CIA, USMC. Ring a bell? PCM. Ford F250, capitalized as well.
