why are UK folks so tolerant of Camilla?
I think she is an adulteress and back stabber. I hope Kate and William are king and queen.

She is a far better royal wife than Diana and would never think of airing her dirty laundry in public or running to the press every time she had an argument with her husband (all of which Diana did). Even Sarah, Duchess of York was far better at this than Diana.
William and Kate will be King and Queen after Charles has died.
People continually say they want the throne to pass to William after the Queen dies, succession to the throne is governed by law and without an Act of Parliament then Charles will become King on the Queen's death (unless he predeceases her). Parliament would not act without Charles' agreement and I can't see him abdicating. Neither his divorce or his re-marriage bar him from succeeding to the throne.

You are too judgmental and you don't have all of the facts.
Camilla is seen as the right type of woman for Charles. Over the years it has become clear that the couple are suited to each other.
Diana, who was a very good Princess of Wales, was not a good marriage partner for Charles. Both were too needy and too self-involved. Diana was the product of a badly- handled separation and divorce. Her mother was not allowed to talk to, or see her children until the divorce was finalized. No one told the children what was happening. Diana felt abandoned, unloved and unwanted and she carried these feelings onto adulthood and marriage. She was very emotionally needy and in the earlier years of the marriage very emotionally unstable.
Charles was emotionally needy as well, but for different reasons. His mother was torn away to become reigning monarch, so the Queen could not spend a lot of time with her son during crucial developmental stages because of work. She famously was sent off on a months' long tour. Charles was left feeling a little confused. His father was a more gruff-type and not a cuddly father, but a sports-enthused one. Charles wanted and needed a little more maternal affection.
Put two needy types who are both concerned about their own feelings together, and you have a couple blind to the needs of others and the marriage is doomed.
As to the subject of adultery; many people cheat on their spouses. This is a sad human failing.
Camilla and Charles repented publicly, their wrong-doings, during the blessing service of their marriage. They know they are not perfect.
Nelson Mandela said a saint is a sinner who keeps on trying. Don't be so judgmental.

This is circa 2014, and we are all human, if same sex marriage is legal, then perhap`s a little adultary should not be held against anyone including Camilla... Camiilla carries out her duties as the wife of Charles to perfection and deserves be queen when the time comes. I agree with you however that it would be better if the throne is passed to William and Kate and Charles should stand aside.

What you think doesn't matter.
E.g., she isn't an adulteress. I looked it up - her marriage to Charles happened many years after Diana and Charles broke up. In fact, it was 9 years after the divorce was finalized, which was quite some time after the separation - a total of 13 years.
By all accounts, she and Charles are doing fine - a true love story in fact.

For goodness sake why begrudge them a bit of happiness?
They live a life riddled in don;t do this , do it this way no matter how pampered they may seem.
If they can forge a partnership and are happy, good luck to them;the past is dead and gone and theirs is the future.
They are humans so let them live like other human beings.

How much were you paid, and by whom, for this inane and ranting non-question?
Among other reasons, we are not a nation of bigots, and we see Camilla conducting herself with great decorum, and apparently on good terms with the two young princes.
We are also aware that Diana the Damned wasn't so goody-goody, and most of us despise the Spencer mafia and those they hire to keep a hate campaign on a life support machine.
Yes, you four sad people, we know you for what you are.

Probably because the majority have realised that Charles is with the love of his life. Diana was not the person the media portrayed her to be. The doe eyed look was an act and put on for the cameras. People that knew her privately found her to be a manipulative crafty person with mental health issues. She caused the break down of Will Carlings marriage and was nearly instrumental in destroying the marriage of the man she plagued with silent phone calls that when traced to her, she admitted to.
Camilla has conducted herself admirably. She has never spoken to the press about her relationship with Charles, never said a bad word about the royals and never courted publicity. Unlike the sainted Diana.

Your hopes have nothing to do with reality.
Camilla at least behaves in public and does not try to "get" hunky surgeons - or play "eyes over the desert" with rugby players. We do not care about their fidelity but we don't want to see it over the dinner table.
That class plays around, we expect a degree of discretion.

For the most part it is really nothing to do with anyone else. Those who don't want Camilla are generally the ones who don't want a monarchy, if this site is anything to go by. Those who accept a monarchy, should recognise the right order of succession, not picking and choosing according to the whims of people who don't even live in the UK - and if the future king has chosen Camilla, then so be it. No good bleating on about it - and the idea that Diana was blameless is laughable.
Most kings historically have been adulterers, as have most of the people with whom they have had affairs. There have certainly been backstabbers both literal and metaphorical, yet the majority are still happy to go along with an archaic system that works well enough.
Maybe we should have squeaky clean presidents like they have in other countries but given the idiots that throws up, you can see why some tolerance is no bad thing to make the UK system work.
@Kenny. Your rant is a COMPLETE fiction and not a little hilarious (Ananias isn't in it). Maybe you shouldn't hijack someone else's question or act as self-appointed critic of other answerers (the very thing you had a hissy fit about with when somebody else did it). Well, not if you don't want to be thought a hypocrite.
Still, kudos for your working out all by yourself that I am SCOTCH - was it the Dundee Fruitcake that gave it away, I wonder. Thrilled to twitters that you are keeping copies for posterity (as well you might: such deathless prose is worthy of a Doctorate) - but do, please, consider the environment before printing it all off. I should hate to think a tree died just because you got both titz in the mangle.

They are not. The Church of England refused to marry her to Prince Charles.
