Newly pregnant...why are my hips hurting?

At 4 weeks I got a positive test. Now I'm 6 weeks and starting to have sharp pains in my left hip bone. This is actually on the side of my body, not anywhere in my pelvis or abdomen. When I press way up high on my hip bone it hurts terribly. What could be causing this?

Your body is preparing for the growth of your baby and giving birth. I reccomend babycenter.com. It helped me loads during my pregnancy. It is very informative. It tells you exactly what is happening to you and what you should be doing daily to have a healthy pregnancy. It not only helps you with pregnancy but also when your child is born. It helps you till maybe age 5. It is free and and has birth clubs. Which means you can join a group with other soon to be mom's expecting the same time you are. I hope this helps you.
