Has the NFL game become basketball on grass?

By that, I mean teams just trading TDs and the last team that scores, wins?

All the rules favor the offense and hamper the defenses.

A prime example was the Viking/Ravens game last Sunday.

I might add, this is why I don't like to watch basketball. All it is is 2 teams running up and down the court trading scores the whole game. Sadly, I think the same thing is happening in the NFL these days.

Update:

@cnew: No, not one game. I base it on how the game has tilted so far in favor of the offenses. The balance between the offense and the defense has widened way too much, in my opinion. 300 yard passing games for a QB are routine games, now. 5,000 yards for a season? Nothing special about that.

Shutouts in the NFL today are about as rare as a complete game is for a pitcher in baseball.

I'm just saying, I appreciated the days when scores in a game were earned, battlling against defenses on even terms. Too much scoring in football games, on a regular basis, is not a good thing.

Ravens Vikings game was 9-13 with like 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter. It was just a few freak plays in the snow.

This is a ridiculous q. Basketball was good but really took a blow with this new rule discouraging charges(NCAA). And one out of maybe 40 games has the team with the ball last winning in basketball. That actually occurs much more in football and always has because it has less possessions(duh)

Never put a comma between the verb and noun

So, you're basing your question on how ONE game turned out?

Teams usually don't "trade TDs" like that. That game set a new NFL record for most lead changes in the shortest time.
