Cut off a mole, how to prevent infection?
I had a mole that was really bothering me, it was black and every once in a while it would get annoying and get irritated from just touching it, so I finally did the deed, and I put some ISO alcohol on a pair of nail clippers after heating them up with hot water, applied it on and around the mole, snipped it off, and I kept applying alcohol and wiping the blood away, also put some hydrogen peroxide on it, until the bleeding slowed, then threw a band aid on it to stop bleeding, now what should I put on it to stop infection, I was thinking probably neosporin? By the way I don't want a lecture on how dangerous it is I want to know how to stop infections...

well i think you should maybe get it looked at by a dermatologist. sometimes moles can become cancerous and if you don't remove it all, you might not know until it requires more than a local anesthetic. but to prevent infection, id stop with the alcohol and use something like neosporin or polysporin, something made to prevent wound infection. remove the bandage around twice a day and reapply whatever you chose as something to prevent infection. also, don't do that again. i had a mole removed and they used Novocain and i felt nothing and they were able to do a biopsy and conclusively determine that i was at no risk of cancer because of that mole.
