Does this poem create a picture "A Morning"?
The first light of dawn sliced the fading night
Penetrating the forest of dead leaves
Staining the trees in a soft yellow light
Leaving the mind to enchantments conceived
Fading away is the paint of dusk gray
The sun rises with coat of flowing gold
Melting away clouds as they try to stay
Warming each flower so their petals unfold
Welcoming the morning, birds on the wing
Quietly searching for a morning's feast
A path I will walk to hear them all sing
In awe of Nature of which I'm the least
To see all this life so captive in form
To wander in light so precious so warm

Another "bullseye" with this poem,
Capitvating in your descriptive phrasing.
The syllable flow is flawless.
A relaxing, natrual momentum leads the
reader to a satisfying, meaningful denouement.
This makes two-in-a-row on my "save
list" from the same poet in as many months.
That's a first.
Excellent, Fred.

Frederick, you have some really pretty images here, and I enjoyed reading your poem. It's like a walk through Nature, which I so love! It zeroes in on the sun and all it's glory! Your use of verbs to show the actions of the sun is well done! I'm going to copy it down and keep it for myself. I like the last line especially ~ "To wander in light so precious so warm." Thank you for creating this piece of poetry, so beautiful!

The perfect uplifting gift of warmth and gentled heart: -
you have the art of moving mountains of grey
to bring visions of light.
Following this path with you holding my mind in your vision
you have brought me the sun on this very very dismal
December day; Here, Fredric, the evening is begun sullen
and unyielding the day brought which we force our way
and when my spirit dips too deep, I come upon this, your
soothing, healing Dawn.
As nature too, pushes her way into softnesses.
The couplet which embraces our poem`s meaning is,
in itself a welcoming. My Special Thanks
for this relief, and relief it is from the urban stasis.

*The sun arrives, wears coat of flowing gold*
..yet the phrase you have brings birth back to all...
more than a picture, so much more than a picture...

Definitely. I could see myself standing there, watching it unfold. The warmth starting on my skin and the light haze of dawn lifting for the start of a beautiful day..
