In your opinion - Best first motorcycle for new rider 6'2" tall person and why?
I work for Honda and I have done for 10 years. I have just passed my Mod 2 "A" test. My plan was to buy a Honda CBR600F or the new 2014 CBR650F as they get great reviews and are an "ideal first bike". But instead of jumping on a big CC bike alone I always said after I pass I will do advanced training. Whilst booking one of my advanced courses tonight, my trainer asked me what bike I was planning to buy. I said the cbr600f. He asked how tall I was. He thought that the bike may be too small What are your thoughts? I like the idea of a sports tourer with higher handle bars to prevent wrist ache, I like the fact panniers can be fitted to it. But I don't fancy my joints aching I don't like naked or bikini bikes. I don't want something that is stupidly fast as I like life. What do you think?
I forgot to mention. I will consider any Japanese bike maker. Though I love my company. I dislike pain more
Edit @ Chris. Thank you for your answer. (Thumbs up) I do quite like the look of your bike. I'm 31 and I too would like to ride for hours and hours but I work 66hpw selling cars, I get one weekday off and every 3rd Friday (and Saturday, but that is QUOTE "our time" - the boss) so I can only go 7:15pm-dark (dry only). And Wednesdays I would consider a Triumph I just don't want a KTM or Ducati (that's a lie, I do want a Panegále but I cannot justify the cost @3k miles PA

No sporty-standard is comfortable for very long on the street in my opinion, fun for an hour or two but I do love to ride for hours and hours if possible. Both your choices are better than a full sport-bike but hope you're young , like short trips and recover quickly.
Of course this is just my opinion but a Dual-sport-standard like the Triumph Tiger 800 XC is better for the street but can still carve the twisties with just as much fun AND for longer periods of fun.
Added- The idea is to learn. The bike is one thing and one can learn a lot on a POS, the different bikes offer an unlimited amount to the learning curve, it's those curves that make riding fun and it does't matter too much as you will learn the longer you ride. You'll see it down the road, no promises, but almost certain.
Kia ora!
*STOP* - WARNING- As a new rider you shouldn't be having fun, learn to ride first, the more you learn the more fun you get to have and the longer you can ride it the more fun it is to keep riding and learning.
* STOP *

I realise this reply is a little late compared to your initial question.....I ve just test ridden the new MT09 Tracer and that comes with an adjustable seat height that already starts too high for most, I d say. I m 6 foot and I would prefer it on its lowest height setting (~840) - and I think it can go to 860mm. It was a great bike and I thoroughly recommend it as a sports-tourer style with ample leg room. I m currently using a DL1000 VStrom which again seems plenty tall enough (tiptoes when trying to put both feet down) and has an even more pronounced upright feel to it. Not perhaps obvious first choices for a new rider, but I only passed my test 6 months ago, went straight onto the Vstrom and I have been fine.

There is no such thing as a minimum dimension for the riders height. It purely depends what you find comfortable. Sportsbikes (eg Ducati 1098, Suzuki GSX-R etc) are cramped for just about everyone but great fun, cruisers (eg many Harleys, Yamaha Virago etc) offer a more laid back riding position that allow you to stretch a little and often have a low seat height but great fun, standard/traditional road bikes (eg Honda Hornet, Yamaha Fazer etc) offer something in between and come in all engine and frame sizes but great fun, dual purpose tourers/adventure (eg BMW GS series, KTM ADventure, Moto Guzzi Stelvio etc) tend to be phyiscally bigger bikes with taller seat heights available but great fun. I assume you can see a common thread here. If you want to decide purely on something that will have the physical characteristics most likely to be compatible with your height then the BMW GS, KTM (most models), Yamaha Tenere, Honda Varadero, Moto Guzzi Stelvio, Suzuki V Strom, Triumph Tiger and similar direction may be a good starting point. Also consider the big tourer Honda Gold WIng, Harley Glide, big BMW option. I personally would not rule anything out until I tried a good mix of what appealed to me for other reasons. You could be comfortable on any kind of bike if you enjoy it enough.

Seems have a big turn in a person's life. The external form of a person is ideal in the eyes of the planet when every feature is assembled in flawlessness or very nearly there. Of all of them, height represents an important role.
Height is not just lots is one of the critical standards in plenty of areas: sports, being a part of the security force, wooing someone, obtaining a work or just bolstering one's assurance therefore, if you want to be slightly taller you just have to use this program https://biturl.im/aU23y , grow taller 4 Idiots.
The combination of proteins with growth hormones, could certainly lead to a taller stature and this really is what you would study on this book, how you can set this mixture used because this system really work for nearly all people.

I'm 6'2 250 and I ride a 2004 cbr600rr and really it feels great I unfortunately
havnt ridden it longer than an hour and 30 .. but I ride it every day and the only problem I have is from time to time I have to stretch my knee out but I have bad knees so that might be just my problem

I've got to agree with Chris. I'm 5'10'' and when I test rode a CBR600 I could not believe how small it was. Of course I am biased towards the BMWs, but there are plenty of more upright touring bikes.

I am the same height as you, I went down the trailie route mostly (XTs of various ages) but I can comfortably fit on a Fazer (old style) or similar. Perhaps an XL would suit you or a Varadero (or an early Africa Twin). Obviously XT and XLs are free of any extraneous plastic at the front.

You cant go wrong with the Ducati 696. Im 6'3'' and can comfortably ride for hours at a time. I highly recommend it and the price isnt all that bad.

I'm a shortarse, so I'm guessing a bit?
Varadero could suit you, upright riding position, high seat, comfy on the back for The Boss (I presume you meant SWMBO), luggage goes nicely.
Honda VFR800 etc - a bit sportier, just as comfy
Kawasaki ZZR1200/1400, sportier yet, perhaps a bit low (I can cope with em, 27 inside leg)
Just my guesses!
