U.K. Company vehicle BIK tax question?
Is anyone well up on company vehicle BIK income tax? I have a company car and company fuel and the tax man reminds me of this benefit every month, years ago at another company I was offered a sign written van instead of a a company car, even with personal use the tax savings at the time were massive. Is this still the case now? It would need to have personal mileage allowance and company fuel but it would be sign written A van would be much handier for me and if it saves me money it would be a win-win
Thank you in advance for your answers

2 AnswersMotorcycles7 years agoMathematics percentage odds question?
The statistic below is a real statistic (numbers) but the situation (words) have been changed.
If pink cars make up just 1% of the miles covered on uk roads yet pink cars are 21% more likely to be involved in accident. How much more likely are you to involved in a pink car than any other coloured car

2 AnswersMathematics7 years agoColour change on a vehicle DVLA question?
Thank you for looking. My wife has just bought a new vehicle. I know it has had a full respray On the V5 It says beige. On the mot it says blue/black. The vehicle is legit HPI clear, genuine watermarked v5, stamped frame number is correct (as well as all stickers etc). However I would like the v5 to say blue/black too. But I doubt just crossing out beige on the v5 whist changing owners is good enough I googled DVLA colour change but on the site it just talked about engine /fuel changes etc. Thank you for your answers
3 AnswersInsurance & Registration7 years agoCounter-steering I know it works but ..?
I watched Keith Code's "a twist of the wrist 2" before number 1. I've just watched the first DVD and I'm onto re-watching the second. After watching number two I counter steer throughout the corner, when I want to bring the bike back up I steer in the direction of the corner again (ie, if going right, I turn right to bring the bike upright again). It has worked well for me (no crashes, But I want to corner faster) However on twist of the wrist 1 it says counter-steer to bring the bike down, then steer in the direction you are going. I'm confused and afraid to try steering into the turn mid-corner at speed incase the bike does come up and I then understeer and hit car, wall, fence, railing etc. I would like to corner faster but don't fancy crashing. What do you think?
2 AnswersMotorcycles7 years agoSinclair c5 problems?
Just bought a very clean totally standard c5
When I power up my c5 with a new charged battery the left side of the led dash lights up, but the right doesn't. When I click the micro switch on the handle bars 12v is sent to the motor but it doesn't run. (Carbons)
Also. Please could you tell me where the horn switch is and the light switch.
Thank you
3 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation7 years agoAnyone know how much for me to get rospa bike certification?
Also. If any trainers know where I can be taught to ride like a pike biker. Ie not hanging off and getting knees, or elbows down. Is it all done with counter-steering? I watch the Keith code DVDs but they all talk about having one cheek off the seat. Where as coppers seem to fly whist firmly in their seat

1 AnswerMotorcycles7 years agoCurling (ice sport) question?
Just watching today's curling. GBR just knocked Canada's stone away from the house and one of the Canadians swept the ice as if to increase the speed of the stone away from the house? Why? Or does a different sweeping motion slow the stone down?
Also how do our Olympic teams get paid. Sponsorship? But do the have other normal jobs too or are they paid to train daily
Thank you
2 AnswersCurling7 years agoI really don't enjoy eating food and find it a chore, do you enjoy eating or not?
I really do not enjoy eating, If I didn't have to eat to stay healthy I wouldn't. Yes I enjoy going to a fancy restaurant with friends, I also love fried chicken wings. But I mean day to day eating as in healthy hearty meals. They inconvenience my life at work, play and at home (ie must not eat too late or before swimming etc)
Even though I love chocolate, junk food and fillet steak I would happily give it all up to not eat but still be healthy
What are your thoughts?
If you could live healthy without having to eat would you?
6 AnswersOther - Food & Drink7 years agoPlease could you tell me the total weight of these for towing please?
I have a 2001 Toyota Landcruiser Colorado 3.2 d4d Automatic (the smaller Landcruiser - Shogun size)
I have Ifor-Williams hunter 505 trailer (partitions will be removed)
my partner has just bought a new mare (not pregnant) at 17hh

1 AnswerSafety7 years agoIf a drug addict, alcoholic, smoker was In a comer for 12 months - would he crave on waking up?
Addiction is a terrible problem for many people. The worst I know of is the physical addiction to morphine/heroine (sickness, diahorrea, insomnia, hallucinations etc) however many highs can be addictive. Alcohol. Nicotine, caffeine and even sugar. I just wondered if an addict of a substance ended up in a coma when he or she awoke would they still crave their tipple or would they not be addicted anymore?
I assume they still would as we are not inducing comas to fight addiction in private clinics where cost is no object. As in the miracle cure. However I really don't know the answer

3 AnswersOther - Diseases7 years agoBest tent, sleeping bag, air bed or mat for panniers?
I have decided to go touring on my motorcycle this year. Ideally I don't want to have a heavy backpack. Instead I would rather load a 3 pannier set evenly but I can't work out what tent to use, or what to sleep on as a mat would be too long but an air bed would be extra weight. What do use use to sleep inside, on what on? Thank you

1 AnswerMobile Phones & Plans7 years agoDo you pull the clutch when changing up? Fully? A little? Or not at all?
On a motorbike do you pull the clutch when changing up, I always do and I feel the above (not pulling the clutch) is abusing the machine. However I have heard many of my fellow riders only use the clutch when changing down. What do you do and why?

1 AnswerXbox7 years agoProtection for "the twins" on my motorcycle?
Have you ever braked hard,or changed down a gear at too higher revs, not braced and slid your "two veg" into the tank?
Well, I have and it hurts, my tank has a protector but my balls don't. Is there any protection I could use? Do you use any?
I thought about a cricket box, but due to the angle of my body it may not be comfortable

9 AnswersMotorcycles7 years agoNew motorcycle tyres - roughing them in?
I getting a bike with brand new tyres on in January I know the tyres will need roughing in (as they are coated with some slippy stuff) and to "take it easy" but I'm worried I won't rough up the outer 25% of each side and I'm worried I may lean over that little bit more in a corner and the palm sized patch of rubber will not be roughed sufficiently and it let's go. I'm not an expert rider and don't lean that far over. But if a bend was tighter than I had expected i would lean more and the bike would slide away (I may swear at this point). Normally I would ask an experienced rider to scrub my tyres in for me but as it will probably be wet I wouldn't risk him, her or the bike. My question is, is there another safe way of scrubbing the tyres on a paddock stand?

10 AnswersMotorcycles7 years agoIn your opinion - Best first motorcycle for new rider 6'2" tall person and why?
I work for Honda and I have done for 10 years. I have just passed my Mod 2 "A" test. My plan was to buy a Honda CBR600F or the new 2014 CBR650F as they get great reviews and are an "ideal first bike". But instead of jumping on a big CC bike alone I always said after I pass I will do advanced training. Whilst booking one of my advanced courses tonight, my trainer asked me what bike I was planning to buy. I said the cbr600f. He asked how tall I was. He thought that the bike may be too small What are your thoughts? I like the idea of a sports tourer with higher handle bars to prevent wrist ache, I like the fact panniers can be fitted to it. But I don't fancy my joints aching I don't like naked or bikini bikes. I don't want something that is stupidly fast as I like life. What do you think?
