Thinking about joining the police?

I've always thought it would be cool to become a u.s. Marshall or DEA agent I just have a few questions. What branch of the police force makes the most also what departments out rank most others such as a U.S. Marshall out ranking a regular local cop or dps

Law enforcement officer pay varies, sometimes a lot, depending on the law enforcement agency. Law enforcement officer pay can also depend on things such as years of service, rank, how much education an officer has, and overtime. When considering pay, you should also consider benefits and cost of living. Agencies don't "out rank" other agencies.

Both of your requests or nonsensical.

If you consider authority and pay important then you would be better off taking the roll of Cartmen then trying to become a member of law enforcement in the US or any first world country.

There are over 15,000 different departments in the US. All with their own pay and benefit schemes.

As to authority or out ranking, well a homicide detective from a city you never heard of has more authority over the scene then the head of the FBI or even his own chief of police.

Pay for a starting cop range from $25,000 a year to &96,000.

FBI and all Fed LE start at GS-7, currently about the same start as LAPD, NYPD and Chicago PD, In the mid $40,000s

Your becoming a police officer for the wrong reasons first of all. You do it to help people, not "because it's cool." You would never get hired if you gave that as your reason for wanting to join.
