Is it ok to work out while sick?
I have a really bad cough and the beginnings of a sinus infection (i believe) but I've finally gotten some time off work and school and i really wanted to hit the gym again for the next few days. Would it hurt me any to go workout while having these symptoms? Or will I be ok?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! make sure you get plenty of rest, not exercise!!!!!!!!! give urself bubble baths. if u can, i learned some tips to help you ease your sickness. cook urself some rice soup, add some spinach, add in salt for flavoring, and some beef inside. make sure they are little pieces. no sweets too. Drink airborne to help your immune system. Eat vitamin B too. Workout wont help, only worse, expecially aerobic exercises, just ride your bike slowly or do some yoga. Not fat burning ones that are tooo over. you need rest these days. Trust me. A STORY: a man thought it was ok to do basketball while he was sick (like you), and he did.......... then the next day when he woke up, he couldn't move his legs anymore!................this is a true story! he is now in a wheelchair. He's alive, but in very bad condition.

If it is a head cold, yes. In fact, working out may help you shift it as the elevated temperatures and blood flow help your lymph nodes flush out toxins
if it is a chest cold, no. If you have a chest cold going to the gym is a really bad idea as you are probably struggling to breathe at the moment. You would be better off spending as much time in bed as possible to get over it

You're just gonna make yourself even sicker, dude.
Your body needs time to rest and recover. If you're working out in the middle of this, you're putting even more strain on your body to recover.

I have actually heard that if you work out when you are sick it can help your recovery. Just something I heard, I don't know if it is true or not but you should be ok.
