Which coffee machine should I buy (UK)?

Hi, I am looking for a coffee machine to use at home. I'm looking for a good one, but with so many on the market I'm confused! Can you recommend one for me please? Thank you.

Update:

I am looking for the single cup units.

Are we talking about the standard coffee makers or the single-cup units?

    SINGLE CUP UNITS

Much like buying a printer for your computer where the ink is the costliest item, I don't think it is that important the brand you decide on, as much as it is how much you will end up paying per cup made. The pods for the different units vary significantly in price!

My friend bought the Tassimo unit for his house. These tend to be better (in my opinion) for making specialty drinks like a hot chocolate or cappuccino. I received the Keurig unit as a gift, and I find it works quite well. And there is a large variety. You can even buy empty Keurig cartridges that you fill with your own preferred coffee. I have no experience with the Dolce Gusto units from Nescafe.

    MULTI-CUP UNITS

If you are looking for a standard coffee maker that you fill and it makes 1-8 cups of coffee depending on the amount of water and ground coffee you use, then it's really up to the features on the unit and your own preference. Some people are find with a cheap one they bought for £9.99 at the nearby department store. Others go for a fancier brand name (perhaps De'Longhi) that is designed to heat the water to just the right temperature, and grinds the beans itself.

I guess it all depends on the personal tastes and how many people are in your household. Look into what has to be done to clean the units. Is there a reusable stainless steel mesh filter or do you need to buy the paper variety? If you don't use up a bag of ground coffee quickly, it can lose its flavour and go stale, so perhaps the pod coffee makers are a better fit. Especially if you like a strong cup of coffee but your wife or roommate prefers mild cups.

what kind of coffee machine you are looking for? Espresso machine or coffee pod machine.

Both of these machines are single cup unit.

If you like real espresso, get the espresso machine. It is harder to use and it makes quite a mess.

If you like all types of coffee, then get a coffee pod machine - nescafe or tassimo are quite good.

I had the same trouble so called a few places to give advise. You should give Busy Coffee a call they are always happy to help. They guided me through bean to cup, instant, traditional and capsule machines until I decided on the best one for me.
