Bleeding after stopping birth control pills?

My doctor and i decided that it would be a good idea for me to "take a break" from my birth control pills just to see what would happen- i have had other issues with my lady parts and this is a test, so to speak. i ended my pack, and went on my period, which lasted a week, and then continued on with my life pill free.. or so i thought i was going to do. it is now 6 days after the end of my period (13 days of no pills) and as I was riding my horse i started to bleed again. is this normal? has anyone else experienced this? i also have been having headaches lately.

serious answers only please

Update:

I havent had any noticeable bloating or cramps, either.

Normal but if it continues to be irregular for more than 2/3 months I would contact your doctor.

After stopping the BC im sure your hormones are all out of wack and trying to become regular again.
