Plaque around my braces?

I got braces in April, and for the last few months I've had plaque around the brackets of my braces. I brush twice a day and floss as best I can every single night, but I can't for the life of me get rid of the plaque around the brackets. Will the plaque stain my teeth? Will it cause gross yellowish squares on my teeth when I get my braces off?

Thanks.

Update:

I think my cement was green (or maybe blue?) so I don't think it's that, but I might be wrong. And I had to throw out my little brush a few months ago because it smelled like mildew, and I'm not sure where to get a new one. :(

I used to think that I had plaque around my braces too, but I figured out it was just the cement! Are you sure it's not the cement. (My cement is white) and if it does happen to be plaque for you, do you have the little brushes they give you to clean it?

No it's not gonna have yellow squares when you take them off . I am 13 and I have braces it's just food and stuff . But if you hate it you can gargle salt water or hot water.
