Is it possible for your body to go into starvation mode from too much exercise?
Alright so I completely flipped a switch. I went from not working out and eating crap to taking up running and completely changing my diet. Was running a 5k three days a week and doing weights and lost like 9 lbs in a week or so. But then all of sudden I started climbing back up, feel like it was as soon as I had my one cheat a week.
Soo my question is, if I went from eating say 5000 calories a day with no exercise then suddenly went to eating 3000 calories a day while burning another 1000.... Would that drastic change put my body into starvation mode? Even though I'm still eating, feeling full, and working out?

no that would equal 2000 calories a day after the deficit, which is not close to starvation mode, this is optimal to lose about a pound each week, starvation mode would require your basal metabolic rate ( the calories you burn doing absolutely nothing) to exceed the number of calories you are taking in on a daily basis.
