Things after Hair Transplant?
I am 24. I had Hair Transplant by strip method 11 days ago, stitches opened, now all pain is nearly gone, stop taking antibiotics, having a scar on back of head, having Finasterid 1mg per day, doctor asked to start using Monixadil 5% after 15 days.
So here I just want to know what are things or food I should eat and which I should avoid eating.
I don't want to have another session I can't forget the pain so I have to make this as EFFICIENT as possible, and I can do any possible things for it.
Please help and thanks in ADVANCE.....

Once a hair transplantation has been completed, the new hair doesn’t spring up instantly. The donor grafts must first go through a process before yielding a lasting head of hair. During this time, they may cause concern for the patient, who wonders why these new hairs are doing strange things. In most cases, panic and worry are unnecessary, as the bizarre process is completely normal. The following steps reveal the journey of newly transplanted grafts from their first day post-operation through six months later. With this guide, a patient will know what strange things to expect.

The news you mentioned the British newspaper concerns a transplant more hair, but of body hair. The intervention does not give side effects if not some redness in the affected part from transplant and lasts several hours, depending on the number of follicles extracted and then transplanted.

Friend its sad but Hair transplantation is a surgery; no matter it’s a simple and a no-risk makeover process. Therefore like all surgical process, the patients need to take certain care to get the optimum benefit of their hair restoration treatment. Doctors are aware of this rest period and accordingly they suggest their patients due course of rest and medication, etc.
The common care suggestions for immediate care are:
Administration/intake of pain killers initially for 2-3 days is suggested for pain management due to the surgery: mostly codeine or paracetamol group of medicines are suggested.
For first 2-3 days sedatives are suggested so that patients get maximum rest; mostly mild sedatives are recommended for post-surgery patients.
For first two days patients are suggested to sleep to keep head elevated on the pillow so that the chance of swelling gets reduced. Inflammation at the operating point is one of the common side effects of hair restoration surgery.

That’s so sad. Strip methods have these disadvantages. People should choose FUE or ADHI technique for hair transplant.

dear friend
Its sad you had undergone strip. You could have avoided it by due research.By now you could have got good hair.Stop finasteride as this could lead to other problems.Ideally transplant clinics should not give finasteride after the transplant. You see good results with finasteride and not with their transplants.continue with minoxidil as you are young and may loose further hair
