Can you acknowledge that some musicians you dislike have talent?

It seems that some people think the definition of talent is simply what they personally like.

This is the dictionary definition of talent: "a natural ability for being good at a particular activity".

    Hi Emerald!

There's plenty of individuals / bands that I am not keen on. Also many of them have real talent.

Still, I don't mind being in a minority of one, when it comes to disliking these folk. Viva la difference!!

    Music lover, good luck!

    Lady Gaga

  • There are musicians with talent and let it go to waste when they're making music, but there are also musicians that don't let their talent go to waste. So yes.

    Of course

BQ: Queen. Very little contribution to the advancement of music, for the most part novelty conceptualization, overplayed, and very little societal reflection. Though Freddie and Brian were good musicians.

Yes, there is music I don't like but is very respectable. Like the Beatles or Eric Clapton or Hendrix. I don't like them, but I have to admit that they are very important and talented.

    Good question.

All those people saying Miley Cyrus Hahahaha she has FAME, not talent.

For me it would have to be Christina Aguilera and Amy Winehouse ( bless her soul)

    Yes.

BQ: The Beatles, ever since they first came out, never liked their style then and don't like it today. Which does not mean they are not good at what they did. Just not heavy or bluesy enough for me.

    take care dave

Yep, I know they have talent. They just aren't to my taste at all..

BQ ~ David Bowie (I do like a couple of his songs)

The Beatles - I'm just not into them.

    ANY metal band ever made.

I hate the metal sound of today. Too fast. Too ugly. Too loud and obnoxious.

However before you guys throw me under the bus with a torrent of thumbs down, let me state, that I DO have to admit that it does take a lot of talent to play it.

    No question.

(the vocalists, however, can suck my ****....they suck big time) It doesn't take much talent to drool and scream and mumble filthy words and ugly sentiments.
