Lowering High Blood Pressure with Tea?

Ok, so I've graduated from Pre, to Stage 1 Hypertention....needless to say I gotta get my BP down, I'm walking and not eating as crappy, no longer using table salt etc. I've read a lot saying that 3 cups of Tea a day can noticeable lower it. I'm a coffee drinker but do like tea, question is, will Decaf Tea also do the trick? Or does the Decafination process screw that up? Also does Caffeine raise BP? I find a lot of mixed stories on that one.

You are reacting to a tea seller's way to make money from you....tea has more caffiene then regular coffee and is a dierpheretic ( removes needed water), you say you have stopped using table salt which accounts for 1 very tiny percentage of your total salt intake, along with your tea(s) I would expect your drinking no Less the 8 8 oz Glasses of water a day? eating 5 times more fruit and veggies then carbs or animal protein? I bet .... ever heard of the "DASH" Diet? (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) Diet Is Effective ??? by using www.heart.org once on the site look for "conditions then high blood pressure etc something to think about The AHA (American Heart Association) (some folks confuse with other organizations but they have more historical knowledge.... other options any of 10 or 15 WORLD Class Cardiac Hospitals suggesting usually means Its the MOST accepted plan..e .. DASH is that Plan.... Google DASH its on the AM heart Page , Mayo Clinic page , and Many other pages... you can also get it published BY the AHA at boookstores AMAZON Etc even Ebay ... take it for what its worth... scoff and YOU'll become enlightened at some point... or Maybe not... either way, YOU have to educate YOURSELF, and Need to change behaviors either Now or Later in life...... totally up to you start here >>> www.heart.org,

Tea raises your blood pressure, especially when there's a party with it.
