Do atheists listen to Christian rock groups?
Bands like Switchfoot, P.O.D., Flyleaf, etc.... and if so, are they aware that these groups are believers?
@ Michelle...the question is regarding bands with an agenda of promoting Christianity. Not the individual members personal beliefs, hence the term Christian rock groups rather than Christians in rock groups.

Yes, I do.
I like Switchfoot, POD, and even Stryper stuff is pretty good.
I am aware that some groups are Christian (heck with Stryper they're pretty much in your face about it!) but I just like the music and the vocals as opposed to the Christian content.

Personally, I don't, but if I enjoyed a band, I would not care if the guitarist, the singer, the drummer, or any or all of the band, were Christian, Muslim, atheist, Hindu, Wiccan, etc. Do YOU know the religious beliefs of every member of every band you listen to? Do you need to know that before you listen to, or enjoy, their music?

There not making rock better, there making Christianity worse.
I mean I listen to bands that are Christian but they don't involve it in there songwriting.
Most Christians don't even listen to "Christian rock" and technically those you named don't qualify, they don't involve it into there songwriting, so see, with atheists it's a given, they don't, I mean some probably do but the most part no.

Xtian rock is yet to produce a single song worth listening to. All I've heard is muzak with a few electrical guitars added.

Christian rock is like spraying Fabreze on a turd. You can try to make it smell as nice as you want, but no matter how hard you try, it's still a turd.

Some might, I don't, and of those that listen to said groups I am fairly confident they know exactly what said bandmembers believe - as it is in their lyrics.

A few, yes. I am fond of the band Red.

I am sure some of them do. Why wouldn't they? Religion plays no role in what music people listen to.
