How can i prepare for a track meet?

Hi, I run the 1000, 300 and the 55

The events I normally do are just the 300 and 55.

How can I mentally prepare for a track meet, I've ran them before but I get super nervous or I become overloaded with anxiety. I have never finished in first place only second.

My muscles never get tired when I run, usually I just run out of breath or I mentally distract myself from completing the race to the best of my ability.

Is their somekinda supplement I can take like creatine or magic race lotion. Lol

Thanks and any tips for running, endurance etc etc would be greatly appreciated. - Gin

The 55 is an all out sprint, so you just run as fast as you can from beginning to end. The 300, but especially the 1000 takes some endurance. I generally lose such races in the 3rd quarter. Have someone time your quarter times during practice and read the times out to you as you pass. Make sure you maintain your pace through the third quarter and then give it all you've got through the last quarter. Make sure you have nothing left at the end.

Since you want to run all three races and then not die on the track...just go 50 to 80 percent. It's just a competition. Remember if you go out 100% on 1000 and it's your first race, then you could run out of breath by 800 and that will jeopardize all three races.
