How do you gain tumblr followers?

I had about 2k+ followers one time when I was always being active on Tumblr and posting a lot. You have to post things and then people will notice your blog and eventually follow you. Also you have to tag it so it could be noticed by others. Sure you could gain couple of followers by just re-blogging and keeping it average as a regular Tumblr user. But, I feel like if you post more things, you will gain more followers. Followers are not always in the same rate. It always changes. People follow and un-follow you over time. I'm not sure if I helped but this is how I gained the amount of followers.

Post more personal stuff -- your text, your photos. You have 220 followers because a lot of people you wish would follow you are following the blogs you're reblogged your material from instead.

Good theme, interesting but widely found photos, but not much 'you' to it at first glance.

-Follow for follow

-Asking people to check out your blog, get advice, etc.

-Sites like www.tumblrplug.com

here's what you do:

-reblog/like a lot of people's posts (they might follow you after they see you in their notes)

-post a lot of original content and tag it with loads of (relevant) tags

-you can search up "follow for a follow" and follow people who'll follow back

-ask people for follow backs

-share your tumblr on other social media sites

-talk to people, whether its by replying, asking, or reblogging stuff and adding a comment

Post regularly, but post what people want.
