How to get my dog to stop barking at my dad?

Ok so I have 4 dogs, and two of them cannot act like a happy dog when he comes into a room. We got Lady first and when we got her, her previous owner had said she doesn't like men.

Ok... Well then we got Luna, and Lady basically told her to bark and snarl and piss yourself when he comes around. She won't eat or drink, she'll bark until he is no longer around, and if he gets close enough she'll piss herself.

This had been going on for years and I don't know how to stop them. Lady will bite off his hand if he gets too close to mom or me, and Luna... How can I stop this behavior? We've tried several ways but it doesn't matter.

Does this dog only do it to your dad or is it any man as i am wondering if its down to genetics rather than the fact your dog does not like men .

I have seen many dogs at the shelter where i work abused so badly by humans men and women before they are taken by us and even after what they have been through they show no aggression or fear towards humans .

Just get him to keep his distance but bring peace offerings like dog treats and what not, over time she will learn that he means no harm and she'll make the connection between him and treats and learn to really like him. Until then, it's your job to make her stop. You are the owner, you are the pack leader. It's all based on your energy, if you get tense and anxious when he's around because you know what shes going to do, stop it. She'll feel it coming off of you and it won't help. If you hold her back from him or anything of the sorts she'll feel you are trying to protect her from him, it will not help and will make her feel more in danger. You need to show her that i's okay for him to be around. Hug him and sit with him with her in the room. Watch a movie or something together with her in the room, don't pay attention to her just watch the movie with your father and see how she reacts. She'll see that her pack leader is okay with him, and hopefully come around to seeing him as a member of the pack.

I hope your language does not get any worse it's right and proper to say wee or pee as otherwise we get the wrong idea on how you view animals. Lady is a dog who cannot possibly tell another dog to wee and bark at your father, it's absurd to think otherwise. All that is happening with Luna is she's thrilled to meet dad, she's excited and dogs wee with pleasure. Dad will need to learn to tell her 'down Luna' treats would also be nice then dad will be more than welcome. Perhaps put Lady outside if she causes to much excitement. Your dad is a nice guy to put up with this weeing with excitement.

Have you tried consulting a professional dog trainer?

Is your dad involved with the care of the dogs? Does he feed them, does he take them for walks, does he gives them treats, does he train them?

However if the dogs indeed threatens to "bite off" his hand, then you probably need the help of a professional trainer ASAP.
